HARD STOP: Prior travel experience and experience managing continuous IV medications are required. Please confirm this experience upon submission to avoid delays.
Travel Experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- First-time travelers are not accepted
Minimum Experience
- 2+ years of experience
- Adult to geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio experience: 1:6
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS preferred
Required IV Medication Experience
- Cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin
- Diuretics: Bumex, Lasix
- Anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin
- Insulin drips
Other Details
- Floating: Yes, within the facility and scope of practice
- Weekends: Typically every other weekend, depending on staffing needs
- Call: Rare; 2-hour response time
- Precedex: Travelers typically do not manage Precedex; core staff handles it
- Charting: Epic preferred
