Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level I trauma center, requiring 1+ years of relevant experience.

Details

• 28-bed cardiac telemetry unit caring for all cardiac needs including post-op care
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Unit supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, monitor techs, and virtual sitter monitoring
• Level I trauma center serving patients of all ages
• Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
• Holiday coverage required if department has a need

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care and implement/monitor patient care plans in accordance with organizational policies and protocols
• Coordinate care across disciplines and communicate patient condition as needed
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assist with discharge planning
• Work collaboratively within a team-based nursing model
• Requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Follow Standard Precautions and use PPE as required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
