Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position requiring a compact or OK RN license and prior cardiac telemetry experience in a Level I trauma center.

Details

• Work on a 29-bed cardiac telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Care for med-surg patients, including those requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
• Unit supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs
• Level I trauma center serving patients of all ages
• 13-week assignment with a 06:30-19:00 shift schedule
• Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
• Holiday coverage required based on department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or OK) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Radius rule applies; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
• COVID vaccination is not required
