Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with 2+ years of cardiac telemetry experience and a NC or compact RN license for a 13-week travel assignment in Hickory, NC.

Details

• Work on a 24-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Care for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adult to elderly adult
• Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio
• Manage common diagnoses including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial) and VATS
• Utilize Life Paks, Zoll, and Masimo equipment, with Cerner EHR experience preferred
• Work 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts on a 36-hour weekly schedule
• Work every other weekend
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required
• Cerner EHR experience preferred
• AHA certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within a family-oriented unit culture
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Must be available to start orientation on one of the designated 2026 dates: October 12, October 26, November 9, November 16, or December 7
