• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,870
• Shift: 12-hour day shift
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 holidays
• Floating: May float to like units based on census and staffing needs
• Charting System: Cerner PowerChart
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience required
• Experience managing patient ratios of approximately 1:5-7 preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, cardiac drips, and remote monitoring strongly preferred
• Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Willingness to float to similar units as needed
• Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers may be considered

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry and cardiac patients in a fast-paced inpatient unit
• Monitor patients with CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, chest pain, arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions
• Care for patients receiving cardiac drips and continuous telemetry monitoring
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Support safe medication administration, line care, oxygen therapy, and other bedside nursing needs
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner PowerChart and communicate effectively with the care team
• Adapt to changing patient volumes and assist with overflow medical patients when needed
