Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring willingness to float among 8 units and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool position within a hospital setting, floating among 8 different Med/Surg Tele units (Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)
• Care for a mixed patient population including ED boarder patients, acute mental health medication management, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on Days/Eves and up to 6:1 on Nights
• Performs telemetry monitoring, interval measurement, and strip interpretation every 4 hours
• Performs cardiac drips and TR Band procedures
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Primarily Days/Eves rotation with 1 to 3 rotations to Nights per contract
• 13-week assignment at 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip, and TR Band experience required
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips
• Free on-site parking is available
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility in Boston
• First-time travelers are not preferred given the experience requirements for this role
