Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN for a night shift, every-other-weekend position requiring active MA licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool RN role covering 8 different Med/Surg Tele units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every-other-weekend requirement
• Occasional rotation to day/evening shifts (1-3 rotations per contract)
• Patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication administration, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• Hospital bed count of 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Utilizes EPIC EMR for charting
• Performs telemetry monitoring including interval measurement and strip interpretation every 4 hours

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring experience including reading tele strips and cardiac drips
• TR Band experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Must be willing to float to 8 different Med/Surg Tele units throughout the hospital
• Performs cardiac monitoring, manages cardiac drips, and interprets telemetry strips
• Free on-site parking not available at this location; public transportation or paid public parking required
• Local candidates accepted with permanent residence within 60 miles of the hospital, at a reduced rate
