Description

American Traveler is hiring a Float Pool M/S Tele RN requiring 2 years of acute care and travel nursing experience along with an active MA RN license.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Tele units throughout the hospital, including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• Facility bed count of 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Shifts rotate between days, evenings, and nights with 1 to 3 night rotations per contract
• Schedule includes every other weekend requirement for 36 or 48 hour contracts
• Uses EPIC EMR charting system

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips
• Must be willing to float between 8 different units

• Responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips
