Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center requiring strong critical care experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVCC) of an acute care hospital
• Level 1 Trauma academic medical center setting
• Patient population includes open heart surgery, transplant, and AAA cases
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• No self-scheduling available

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• 3+ years of experience and previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical care experience in a major academic medical center required
• CRRT experience preferred
• Recent ECMO experience preferred
• Experience in a busy, large Level 1 Trauma center preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiovascular ICU setting
• Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and open to floating
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
