Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic Stepdown night shift position requiring surgical and telemetry patient care experience.

Details

• Cardiothoracic Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes post open heart, heart transplant, LVAD, leg bypass, rib resection, and pneumonectomy cases
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment with longer contract options available

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Extensive experience with surgical patient population and telemetry required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry and post-surgical nursing care to cardiothoracic patients
• Only one submission permitted per candidate system-wide for Ascension positions
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, with mileage varying by facility location
• Travelers should discuss contract extensions with their manager approximately 45 days before the end date
