Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) located in a healthcare facility is seeking a qualified healthcare professional for night shifts. This position involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. The role requires working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid state or compact license in hand at time of submittal; minimum 2 years of ICU cardiovascular experience; experience with charting systems (Epic); preferred previous charge, community hospital, and LTAC experience; certifications including ACLS and BLS; skills including arterial line management, care of patients on ECMO and ventilated patients, central line care/management, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), isolation precautions/PPE, management of multisystem organ failure, nurse-driven ECMO protocols, PICC line management, post-cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, LTAC experience, trauma level I and II experience, travel experience preferred.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Patient census averages 7 adult and geriatric patients daily with 10 rooms and beds. Specific procedures and equipment are utilized as per the clinical needs. Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing; onsite modules are non-billable and include basic hours for RN and allied staff.
