Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) nurse position located in an adult and geriatric care unit. This role involves providing specialized critical care for cardiac surgical and medical patients, with a focus on acute stroke management and multisystem organ failure. The critical care environment emphasizes arterial line management, chest tube procedures, ventilated patient care, and cardiac drips, among other responsibilities, with a schedule that includes night shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid professional license (RN), ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, and two years of ICU experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in CVICU or cardiac critical care, proficiency in arterial line and chest tube management, and familiarity with adult patient care in ICU settings
• Float: Float to Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU), Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU), or Burn Intensive Care Unit (Burn ICU) if needed
• Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The daily census is approximately 20 adult and geriatric patients in a 24-bed unit. Travelers will be expected to float to related ICU units within their scope and receive an orientation on the unit.
