Job Summary: The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) specialty position is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves working within a critical care environment that caters to cardiovascular patients, including cardiac surgical and medical cases, with opportunities to support adult medical intensive care overflow. The position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced unit requiring specialized skills and adaptability.
Job Details:
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Two years of experience in an ICU setting, valid Oklahoma license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, and proficient in arterial line management, ventilated patient care, central line care, CVA/Stroke management, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma patients, post-surgical cardiac care, and familiarity with complex hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
Additional Information:
May float to Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, or Burn Intensive Care Unit if needed.
Local rule is not accepted; candidates must reside beyond 75 miles from the facility.
Brief orientation provided onsite during modules.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
The daily census accommodates approximately 20 patients in a 24-bed unit with a variety of cardiac and medical diagnoses.
