Job Summary:
An Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurse position is available in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing critical care for patients requiring cardiovascular intervention, including open heart and neuro cases. The position offers nights shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with floating required to other units as needed. The assignment starts on August 24, 2026, for a duration of 13 weeks.
Job Details:
- Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift
- Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week minimum
- Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state of Pennsylvania, two or more years of CVICU experience in a hospital setting, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Open heart and neuro case experience, experience with ICP drains, balloon pumps, and general critical care
- Additional Information:
- Floating to other units may be required
- No call requirements
- Beds in the unit: 18, patient ratio: 2:1

- EMR: Cerner
- Reason for opening: Internal vacancy, cover release of staff
- Blocked scheduling or RTO requests may be considered
- Maximum one-week time-off (RTO) requested
- Critical care experience focusing on cardiovascular cases, including open heart procedures and neuro support
