Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring TX or compact RN license and advanced cardiac device management experience.

Details

• Critical Care Cardiovascular ICU unit with 28 beds
• Patient population is 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure, including open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT
• Utilizes Swan Ganz catheters and CCO monitoring
• Uses Cerner/COMPASS EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Floating required to MICU, SICU, medical, or cardiac stepdown units as needed
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Preferred experience with cardiac advanced device therapy management including IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management
• Current license and Nursys primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• Implement and monitor individualized care plans, adjusting treatment to optimize patient safety and recovery
• Administer physician and nursing orders promptly while maintaining regulatory compliance
