Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU Days position requiring critical care and open heart recovery experience.

Details

• Work in an 8-bed Cardiovascular ICU
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
• Patient population includes post-surgical cardiothoracic, vascular surgery, thoracotomy, TAVR, and complex PCI intervention cases
• Performs post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure recovery care
• Involves central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements
• Utilizes Edwards monitoring, GE monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/cardiac critical care experience required
• Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provides post-surgical management and recovery care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients
• Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
• Travelers should discuss extension with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
