Responsibilities
- Perform, assist, and complete cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations.
- Conduct active radiographic interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab using sophisticated equipment.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce digital images as ordered by physicians.
- Position and instruct patients for examinations and perform specialized studies.
- Deliver clinical care with technical skill, organization, and critical thinking; mentor staff on technical skills.
- Provide input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff as appropriate.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
- Licensure: Active California license as Cardiovascular Technologist or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certification: Certification in cardiovascular radiologic technology or interventional (e.g., CVIT/ARRT-CV) preferred or as allowed by governing rules.
- Experience: Relevant clinical experience in cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations and interventional procedures preferred.
- General: Ability to work in a fast-paced cath lab with rotating shifts and complex equipment.
