Overview
Cardiovascular Technologist – Cath Lab travel assignment in Portland, Oregon. Start date November 9, 2026 for a 13‑week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $2,691 to $2,900. Shift is 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) on a 3x12 schedule in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. This role supports physicians in diagnosing and treating heart, lung and blood vessel disorders by performing invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular tests, operating x-ray and physiologic equipment, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including catheterization and imaging guidance.
- Operate and adjust C‑Arm, angiographic injectors, and related physiologic monitoring equipment; record procedure data and test results.
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures; enforce radiation safety practices and proper shielding, collimation, and immobilization.
- Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection control and isolation protocols; manage equipment setup and sterile supplies.
- Prepare, operate, and troubleshoot cardiovascular and physiologic equipment; assist with administration of contrast media as appropriate; document and file procedure details.
Requirements
- At least two years of recent experience in the cardiovascular/cath lab field
- ARRT-R Radiography certification required; Oregon state license (OBMI) radiologic technologist license required; ARRT certification required by state law; RCIS not accepted
- Current BLS certification; ACLS or ARC-ALS required
- Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent in a related field; one year of catheterization experience preferred
- Active Oregon state license (OBMI) and ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital setting
- Current nursing license per the state of assignment
