This role requires advanced knowledge of congenital anatomy, surgical repairs, and age-dependent physiology. The sonographer directly supports high-acuity diagnostic and clinical decision-making. The sonographer is expected to understand the patient's exam rationale. The sonographer must acquire high-quality diagnostic images. The sonographer is required to provide accurate preliminary findings in a timely manner. The sonographer will comply with patient privacy and safety guidelines. The sonographer must adhere to departmental and hospital policies. Responsibilities may change over time at the discretion of department leadership to meet evolving needs.
