Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, CCI RCS, RDCS, RDCS or CCIS Must-Have: - Experience with 3-D Echo, Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient - Proficient in Bubble Study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode - Familiarity with PACS - Competent in Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies - Skilled in Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) and Treadmill Stress Echo Description: Diagnoses and testing include, but are not limited to, echocardiography, strain imaging, stress echocardiograms, dobutamine stress tests, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and exercise tests. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Call duties include 7 nights of call every 5 weeks. Floating within the facility/scope of practice may be required as needed. Travelers may be expected to work during major holidays that fall within their assignment period. This includes holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. Travelers can expect onboarding and training as needed. If a traveler is not compliant in time, the pushback is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. The facility accepts first-time travelers. Unit experience preferred includes Level I and Level II trauma. Candidates are expected to meet specific facility requirements. All compliance documents need to be submitted by the designated deadline prior to the start of the assignment.
