Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum of one year of cardiac experience required License: Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS) Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association Must-Have: Graduate of an ultrasonography program required Description: Days consist of 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Variable shift start times are between 07:00 and 09:00. There will be rotation on weekends to support coverage. On-call rotation may be requested depending on operational needs. Minimum of one year of cardiac experience is required. Candidates must be registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS). BLS certification from the American Heart Association is necessary. A graduate of an ultrasonography program is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with charting systems such as Epic. The position involves performing echocardiograms on a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support and appropriate patient care protocols are essential for this role. Candidates must be able to administer ultrasound enhancement agents and perform bubble studies. The expectation is to complete an average of seven scans per day. This role requires working in a collaborative environment with advanced ultrasound equipment. The facility is known for its high standards in patient care and sonography practices. Floating between facilities may be required as necessary. Candidates must be prepared to meet expectations for pace and volume in their scanning duties. Certification from ARDMS or CCI is required, along with a completion of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonography training program preferred. Pass/fail testing will be conducted with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment.
