Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Technologist II Profession: Cardiovascular Technologist Specialty: Cardiovascular Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:30 AM - 08:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 5 years License: ARRT with RCIS required Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: - 2+ years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist - 1+ years travel experience Description: The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist II is a critical member of the patient care team within the department. This role involves collaboration with other care team members to ensure continuity of care for patients. The technologist promotes a philosophy of patient and family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel. The focus is on understanding and meeting customer needs. The lab averages over 30 cases per day. Case types range from outpatient right heart catheterization and stable coronary angiograms to complex coronary, structural, and vascular interventions. In addition, the lab has a 12-bay peri-procedural space for patient preparation and recovery. Hemodynamic measurements are completed using the Siemens Sensis system. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call may be required during the contract, but weekend or holiday shifts are not guaranteed. In a 13-week contract, the technologist can expect 1-3 weeknight shifts and possibly 1 weekend shift.
