Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 5x8 Hours Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum one year of cardiac pediatric echo experience. Minimum of six months of pediatric echocardiography experience. License: Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certifications: BLS ARDMS RDCS PERDSC-Peds RCS or RCCS Must-Have: Highly preferred three years of pediatric echocardiography experience in all modalities. Description: The Cardiac Sonographer will be part of the patient care team entrusted with the care of patients undergoing cardiac echo studies. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient cardiac echo studies. The daily caseload is expected to be 4-5 per session. Education minimum required is a graduate of an accredited echocardiography training program or equivalent experience in pediatric or adult echocardiography. Certification minimum required includes RDCS, RCS, or RCCS. Candidates must demonstrate skills in 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, and various echocardiography techniques and procedures. Candidates should have experience with adult acute care and pediatric outpatient settings. The candidate must be flexible and willing to float as necessary. This is a Monday through Friday day shift position. Candidates must be ready to engage in continuous patient care and support.
