Job Title: Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator to oversee and enhance the POCT program. The role involves evaluating program effectiveness, implementing new methodologies, maintaining compliance, and ensuring quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, prior POCT experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science
  • One (1) year of laboratory experience
  • One of the following certifications:
    • Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
    • Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior POCT experience
  • Knowledge of Telcor QML
  • Strong multitasking and quick learning abilities

Additional Information:
  • Responsibilities include quality control, proficiency testing, inventory control, compliance audits, and POCT information systems management.
  • Collaborates with leadership to standardize test procedures and implement policies.
  • Reviews POCT manuals annually and ensures effective communication across teams.
