Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Med Surg/Tele Stroke – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holidays as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. Patient ratio 1:6.

Highlights:

• Work in a specialized 42-bed Heart Failure/Stroke Unit serving patients with neurological and cardiac conditions
• Collaborate with cardiologists and neurologists to deliver best practice standards of care
• Join a team of highly skilled nurses trained in managing complex neuro-cardiac conditions
• 13-week assignment with biweekly orientation and comprehensive onboarding
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with overtime opportunities after 48 hours
• Meditech charting system

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact state RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of recent RN experience; at least 1 year in specialty area preferred
• Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (ARC accepted)
• NIHSS certification
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
