Description
American Traveler is hiring a Case Management RN with 3-5 years of acute care experience for a day-shift assignment requiring BSN, CCM, and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Work in the Case Management department, primarily on an orthopedic unit within an acute hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
- Required to work every 3rd weekend
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days as scheduled
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, and DME ordering
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- BSN required
- 3-5 years of nursing experience required
- Acute care experience required
- Medical-Surgical and Surgical Services specialty experience required
- BLS certification required
- CCM certification required for consideration
- Knowledge of CMS regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Additional Information
- Must be able to start as soon as possible
- Required to complete a Pass/Fail Tele test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed; failure results in cancellation from the assignment
- Required to complete a Pass/Fail Medication exam at orientation
- Pre-start and orientation modules required, with additional annual modules
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
- Candidates must reside within 200 miles for consideration
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of requested time off may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
