Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring 2+ years of inpatient case management experience and either Epic or travel experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital inpatient case management unit
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• 2-3 weekends required per contract
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or compact) required; pending license accepted with Nursys verification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital inpatient case management experience required
• Epic EMR experience or previous travel experience required
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care development
• Primarily supports Medical-Surgical specialty patients
• Up to 40 hours of RTO can be approved per 13-week contract, with all time off disclosed at time of submission
• Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed
• Previous UVA permanent staff or internal/external travelers require 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
• No radius rule applies to this position
• First-time travelers considered with required acute care case management and Epic experience
