Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of inpatient case management experience and either Epic or travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Acute care hospital inpatient Case Management department
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Required to work every 4th weekend
  • Required to work every other holiday
  • Floating required within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (VA or Compact) required, pending license accepted if in-hand by the Wednesday before start date
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital inpatient case management experience required
  • Epic EMR experience or prior travel nursing experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
  • Two professional references required
  • Nursys verification required
  • Copies of all required certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care development
  • Medical-Surgical specialty experience preferred
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
  • Any vacation time planned between sign date and start date must be disclosed to allow for an appropriate start date
  • Specialty-specific orientation modules required, completed during orientation
  • Previous UVA Health permanent staff or internal/external travelers must have 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
  • External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
  • Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away
  • First-time travelers may be considered if they have acute care case management and Epic experience
  • No radius restriction for this position
