Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of inpatient case management experience and either Epic or travel nursing experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital inpatient Case Management department
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Required to work every 4th weekend
- Required to work every other holiday
- Floating required within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (VA or Compact) required, pending license accepted if in-hand by the Wednesday before start date
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital inpatient case management experience required
- Epic EMR experience or prior travel nursing experience required
- BSN preferred
- BLS certification preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
- Two professional references required
- Nursys verification required
- Copies of all required certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care development
- Medical-Surgical specialty experience preferred
- Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
- Any vacation time planned between sign date and start date must be disclosed to allow for an appropriate start date
- Specialty-specific orientation modules required, completed during orientation
- Previous UVA Health permanent staff or internal/external travelers must have 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
- External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
- Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away
- First-time travelers may be considered if they have acute care case management and Epic experience
- No radius restriction for this position
