Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of case management experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
• Patient ratio of 1:20
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
• No floating expected
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, pending license accepted if licensed by start date
• 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning required
• Hospital experience required
• Prior travel experience required, though first-time travelers will be screened for consideration
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care development, and utilization of InterQual criteria
• Familiarity with CMS guidelines and DRG regulatory concepts
• Scrubs or business attire accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
• First-time travelers accepted, subject to clinical screening
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel rate
