Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Case Manager – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (shift times vary between 0700-1700). Every other weekend or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule required. 72 guaranteed hours per 2-week period. 13-week assignment with potential to extend up to 1 calendar year.

Highlights:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 30 patients in a 407-bed acute care hospital setting
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, social services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
  • Epic charting system with 24-40 hours of paid orientation
  • Free parking and scrubs provided
  • Serve diverse patient populations across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics

Requirements:

  • Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses may be screened but license must be in hand for offer)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • BLS certification preferred
  • ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
  • Experience with discharge planning, utilization review, InterQual criteria, and Milliman guidelines
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
