Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with a FL or compact license and Level I Trauma experience for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Cath Lab unit within a Level I Trauma hospital setting
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-6pm
• On-call required on both weekdays and weekends
• Circulating role required, scrubbing preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum two years of recent Cath Lab experience required
• EP (Electrophysiology) experience required
• Cardiac Cath experience in a Level I Trauma setting required
• Skills required include administration and monitoring of procedural sedation, diagnostic right and left heart catheterization, interventional catheterization, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Nursing degree required from an accredited school, or from an FBON-approved institution combined with two years of recent consecutive acute care experience within a US hospital in the past 24 months
• Must successfully pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

Additional Information

• Must report to the lab within 72 hours of signing

• Local candidates considered within a 60-mile radius at a lower pay rate
• Former permanent employees must have a one-year separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale nursing schools are not accepted
• Required to pass a basic arrhythmia assessment with a score of 100% on lethal rhythms and 83% or higher in all other sections
• A retake of the dysrhythmia exam is required within 24 hours if the initial attempt is not passed
