Senior Cath Lab Imaging Specialist (Hybrid)

 

Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday–Thursday)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
 

About the Role

Stryker is seeking a Senior Cath Lab Imaging Specialist to support the development and evaluation of innovative Neurovascular and Endovascular medical devices. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Cath Lab, Angiography, Interventional Radiology, or Cardiovascular Imaging environments who are looking to apply their expertise in a cutting-edge medical device research and testing setting.

Unlike a traditional hospital role, this position does not involve live patient care. Instead, you will support device testing using simulated vascular models, advanced imaging equipment, and physician training environments.

This hybrid role offers flexibility and may accommodate candidates available three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday).

Key Responsibilities

Imaging & Cath Lab Operations

  • Operate and optimize angiography and fluoroscopy imaging systems.
  • Perform 2D and 3D angiographic imaging acquisitions and vessel roadmapping.
  • Support imaging activities for device development, physician demonstrations, and training events.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain imaging equipment.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers for maintenance and repairs.

Device Testing Support

  • Set up and maintain simulated vascular testing environments.
  • Support bench-top, proof-of-concept, verification, and physician evaluation studies.
  • Assist physicians and engineers during testing activities.
  • Provide expertise on angiography workflows and endovascular procedures.

Laboratory Operations

  • Prepare testing labs and imaging suites for scheduled activities.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and consumables.
  • Perform room reset, cleanup, and equipment preparation between testing sessions.
  • Maintain laboratory organization and operational readiness.

Radiation Safety & Compliance

  • Promote safe operation of imaging systems.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and ALARA practices.
  • Monitor PPE usage, dosimetry requirements, and training compliance.
  • Maintain documentation related to imaging system compliance and safety.

Technical Leadership

  • Act as a subject matter expert for angiography systems and Cath Lab workflows.
  • Partner with R&D, Clinical, Marketing, Medical Education, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide recommendations for imaging best practices and laboratory procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in:
    • Radiologic Technology
    • Cardiovascular Technology
    • Biomedical Engineering Technology
    • Or related field
  • Experience working in:
    • Cath Lab
    • Angiography
    • Interventional Radiology
    • Cardiovascular Imaging
    • Fluoroscopy environments
  • Experience operating Philips or Siemens imaging systems
  • Understanding of:
    • Radiation safety practices
    • Imaging suite operations
    • Laboratory procedures
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • RCIS, RT(R), ARRT, CVT, or related certifications
  • Experience with:
    • Philips Azurion
    • Siemens ICONO
    • GE Interventional Imaging platforms
  • Knowledge of:
    • Neurovascular procedures
    • Endovascular therapies
    • Peripheral vascular interventions
  • Previous experience supporting medical device testing or product development programs
