Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a travel contract at a 536-bed academic teaching hospital in Portland, OR, requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 536 total staff beds at a teaching hospital
- Cath Lab unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:00)
- On-call is required on both weekdays and weekends
- Floating between sister facilities within the state is expected and may include locations in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
- Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- No weekend requirement outside of on-call obligations
Requirements
- Active OR RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
- At least 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred given facility type
- A personal vehicle is required for this assignment
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) including location and dates
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
- Floating to other units and facilities is common and refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- When floated to the Seaside facility from a non-Seaside contracted location, travelers receive a $5/hr incentive for hours worked there, IRS mileage reimbursement, and a hotel if floating for consecutive shifts
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a lower bill rate
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO may not be granted
- Candidates with background check hits or Nursys issues are not accepted by this facility
