Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring STEMI experience and proficiency with advanced cardiac devices, working 4x10-hour day shifts.

Details

  • Hospital Cath Lab setting
  • Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00–17:30
  • 13-week contract
  • Procedures include angioplasty, carotid stenting, upper and lower extremity angiography, sheath removal, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Proficiency required with Balloon pump, Impella, atherectomy devices, cardiac medication drips, and emergency medications
  • Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
  • On-call required during evenings and weekends
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Any charting system experience accepted; EMR experience required
  • Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

  • Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
  • Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum 18 months of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
  • STEMI experience required
  • Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, sheath removal and monitoring, vascular closure systems, radiation and laser safety, Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale, and pressure ulcer assessment/prevention
  • Two references from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director are required for consideration
  • A copy of a valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront at the time of consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked at any Cleveland Clinic location as a permanent or per diem caregiver must have an end date of at least 1 year prior to being eligible
  • Required orientation includes EKG and pharmacology testing, with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation — travelers who do not pass will be cancelled; study materials are provided
  • Specialty-specific learning modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment and are recorded via SilkRoad — these are time-sensitive and should be prioritized immediately upon confirmation
  • Smoke-free facility with a strict call-in policy
