Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab of a teaching hospital
• Perform diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required to all 3 hospital campuses within a 20-mile radius (Martin North, South, and Tradition)
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
• Minimum 18 months of recent Cath Lab experience required, preferably within the last 3 years
• Epic charting experience required
• One professional reference from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the Cath Lab specialty required for consideration

Additional Information

• Facility is a smoke-free environment requiring all travelers to be nicotine-free with a negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with medical or religious exemptions only
• EKG and pharmacology tests required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation for retesting
• Time-sensitive training modules must be prioritized and completed promptly once the assignment is confirmed
• Scrub color is Ceil Blue
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis (every other holiday)
• All requested time off must be submitted and discussed at time of interview, with no additions accepted after submission
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous permanent or per diem employees cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their last end date
