Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a day shift position requiring 1 year of cath lab experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of a hospital environment
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Patient population includes adults undergoing diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required
• Every 4th weekend required
• Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief unit orientation provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (pending certifications accepted)
• RCIS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Skilled in cardioversion, circulating procedures, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience monitoring procedural sedation required
• Experience with left and right heart catheterization and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Scrub procedure experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including cardioversion and dysrhythmia management
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation medications
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Previous staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
