Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with SC or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of cath lab experience for a hospital-based role covering interventional radiology and IR holding.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology departments, including IR holding
• Care for adult patients with a variety of disease processes in a procedural setting, including pre and post care
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, primarily 4x9.5-hour shifts (7:00 AM-4:30 PM) with occasional 5x8-hour shifts
• Rotating evening, night, weekend, and holiday call required
• High patient-to-caregiver ratios with frequent floating within the hospital
• Uses Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC state or compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Required skills: IV starts, circulating, telemetry, and conscious sedation
• Hemodynamic monitoring and PACS experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred but not required
• TB test required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures
• Assist with procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, IABP placement/removal, and vascular closure
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Expected to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff
• Floating occurs within the hospital in accordance with clinical experience and Joint Commission standards
• Candidates with background hits or licensure actions will not be considered
• Previous employees must have been gone at least 1 year and left in good standing to be eligible for rehire
• Minimal to no RTO permitted, especially during the first few weeks of the assignment; any RTO must be approved prior to assignment start
