Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a Cardiology unit position requiring active IL RN licensure and at least one year of Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care experience.

Details

• Full-time Cath Lab position within the Cardiology department
• Cares for adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures
• Day shift schedule, 0800-1630
• On-call rotation required approximately every 2nd-3rd weekend and 1-3 times per week

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required upon hire and must be maintained
• BSN preferred
• Minimum one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care setting required
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide holistic, patient-centered care addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians, providing continuous updates on patient status
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is functioning and calibrated
• Manage case-specific supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures, responding promptly to changes
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of patient condition throughout Cath Lab stay
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
