Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with 2+ years of service line experience and travel experience required for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a rotating day off
• On-call requirement of approximately 7-10 days per month, including about one weekend per month
• Any charting system accepted, Altera experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab service line required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency in Cath Lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, and cardiac stent placement
• Skilled in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, cardioversion, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring, including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, vasopressors, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
• Competency in IV therapy, blood product administration, and infusion pump management

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating procedures, infection prevention, and isolation precautions/PPE compliance
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with mandatory clearance required
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival
• Candidates must live within 150 miles for local radius consideration; local candidates not accepted
• Previous permanent staff must have a 1-year gap in employment before returning as a travel candidate
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer, or a completion plan must be in place
• Non-billable orientation modules average 6-8 hours and are completed during orientation
