Position Details
- Position: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Quick Overview
Seeking an experienced Cardiac Telemetry RN for a weekday assignment caring for patients undergoing a variety of cardiac procedures. First-time travelers are welcome.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry RN experience
- Experience caring for patients undergoing:
- TEE/Cardioversion
- PCI
- Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization
- Peripheral Vascular Percutaneous Procedures
- Pacemaker procedures
- Cardiac Ablation
- Structural Heart Procedures
- Loop Recorder Insertions
- Community hospital experience
- EPIC charting experience (required)
Requirements
- Active RN License
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- Cardiac Telemetry experience
- EPIC experience
Preferred Qualifications
- First-time travelers accepted
- Experience with advanced cardiac procedures
Unit Information
- Patient Population: Adult
- Average Daily Census: 25 patients
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Orientation: 16 hours
Required Skills
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Arterial line management
- Central line/PICC care
- Peripheral IV insertion and maintenance
- Heparin and insulin protocols
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip management (including titration)
- Post-cardiac catheterization care
- TR Band management
- Sheath removal
- Procedural sedation monitoring
- Pacemaker care (temporary/permanent)
- Post-MI and post-TPA care
- TAVR patient care
- LVAD/RVAD patient care
- Blood product administration
- Oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP
- Rapid Response/Code Team participation
