Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position requiring 2 years of experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab of a hospital setting
• Performs procedures including cardiac implant closure device placement, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
• Uses Epic EMR
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Call requirement of 1 week every 2 months

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry required; if degree is in another field, a high school diploma must also be provided
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Experience with EP Lab procedures and skills including ACT, cardioversion, radiation and laser safety, sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, and ventilator management
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience including implant closure devices and lead extraction/removal
• IV therapy skills including blood product administration, infusion pumps, and starting/maintaining IVs
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this health system
• RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract to remain compliant with state requirements
