Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 5 years of experience and CA RN licensure with weekend and weekday call coverage.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities required on weekends and during the week
• Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 5 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Proficiency with procedures such as cardiac catheterization, PCI, TAVR, Impella, Watchman, pacemaker/defibrillator insertion, and LAA closure
• Experience with vascular closure devices, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedural sedation
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Provide circulating and scrubbing support for cath lab and EP cases
• Monitor patients using hemodynamic and rhythm assessment tools during procedures
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-submission requests may not be granted
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
