Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring critical care background and conscious sedation/telemetry skills.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab department of an acute care teaching hospital and Level 2 Trauma Center
• Average daily census of 10-20 cases across 4 labs with approximately 12 visits per day
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, starting at 7:30 AM
• On-call required every 4th weekend and 1-2 weekdays per week based on department needs
• Floating required between two hospital campuses as needed
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (MN license required, pending license accepted)
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience with some critical care experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Proficiency in conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring required
• Scrub and ventilator management experience preferred
• Skilled in procedures such as sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab setting
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, medication administration, and post-procedure care for cardiac patients
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered for this position
• Returning travelers or staff must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked in a perm or per diem role
• RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• No parking fees for staff
