Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring at least 2 years of complex cath lab experience and CA RN licensure.

Details

• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab setting within an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 4 weekend shifts required per contract
• On-call required based on department needs with a 30-minute response time, averaging 10 call shifts within a 6-week period including one weekend of call
• No floating required between like units
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale certification also required
• 2 years of cath lab experience preferred due to complexity of the unit
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including IABP placement/removal, left heart catheterization, and right heart catheterization
• Experience administering antihypertensives required
• Skills in procedural sedation administration/monitoring, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, and Swan Ganz monitoring preferred
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation/management and ventilator management preferred
• Experience with Lasix drips preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a beachside acute care hospital with 266 staffed beds
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs; scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO must be submitted upfront at time of consideration; minimal RTO requests are preferred to avoid delays
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including as permanent staff, travel contractor, or registry/per-diem
