Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a CA RN license and 5+ years of Cardiac Cath/Interventional Cardiology experience with Structural Heart and TAVR expertise.

Details

  • Work in the Cath Lab of a teaching hospital medical center
  • Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab work settings
  • Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 23-week assignment length
  • Ability to float to other UCSF facilities required
  • Epic charting system used
  • Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license in hand required
  • BSN required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Cardiac Cath/Interventional Cardiology
  • Structural Heart and TAVR experience required
  • Cath/EP and Pre/Post procedural care experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • 2 references from most recent employer required for consideration
  • Completed references required at time of consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform a wide range of cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, Watchman procedure, and Impella insertion
  • Administer and monitor medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, and reversal agents
  • Provide procedural sedation administration and monitoring
  • Perform sheath removal and monitoring, topical hemostasis, and vascular closure system management
  • Circulate procedures and manage ventilator care as needed
  • Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and monitor pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz
  • Assist with central line insertion, IV therapy, and blood product administration
  • May be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75+ mile radius during the assignment if qualified
  • Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
  • RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager; no mid-contract RTO requests accepted and RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment
  • Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit
