Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week day shift assignment with rotating call responsibilities, requiring an IL RN license and Epic experience.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab, including Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab settings
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call required 2-3 days per week with rotating weekend call
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in hand
• BLS certification required; ACLS and ARRT-R preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience with 3D imaging, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and computed tomography
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile technique
• Experience with procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PPI, IABP placement/removal, and pacemaker insertion
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures including cardiac mapping, ablation, cardioversion, and AICD insertion/programming
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Current Nursys report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include room circulating, scrubbing and maintaining sterile fields, equipment set up, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Maintains equipment, manages inventory, stocks supplies, and utilizes PACS
• RTO limited to no more than 3 days, with no RTO requests during the first or last week of the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former staff of this health system must have a 7-month break in service before returning as a traveler
