Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 3+ years of Cath Lab experience, Epic proficiency, and a compact RN or PA license

Details

• Work in the Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab of a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Call required 1-2 shifts per week
• Weekend shifts required every 3rd weekend
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or PA) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in Cath Lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, IABP, and Impella insertion
• Skilled in sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, and topical hemostasis techniques
• Experience with cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and monitor procedural sedation

Additional Information

• Perform circulating duties and support a wide range of Cath Lab procedures including stent placements, valvuloplasty, and Watchman procedures
• Monitor and manage patients undergoing procedural sedation and cardiac interventions
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start
