RN must hold an active Michigan state license before submission.
Schedule
Schedule may consist of 5 × 8-hour shifts, 4 × 10-hour shifts, or a combination of 2 × 8-hour and 2 × 12-hour shifts.
Scheduled hours fall between 6:30 AM and 7:00 PM, depending on department needs.
On-call required: 7–11 on-call days during the contract.
Includes one full weekend of call every month.
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care and support cardiac catheterization procedures within the Cath Lab/IR department. The RN will collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
Prepare, assess, and monitor patients before, during, and after Cath Lab procedures.
Assist physicians and the Cath Lab team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, patient response, and overall clinical status throughout procedures.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor for adverse reactions.
Maintain appropriate sterile/aseptic technique and follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
Recognize and promptly respond to changes in patient condition or potential procedural complications.
Provide post-procedure monitoring and appropriate patient care following Cath Lab interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, Cath Lab technicians, anesthesia staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
Complete accurate electronic documentation and maintain compliance with medical center policies and professional standards.
Participate in required on-call and weekend coverage.
Requirements
2 years of Cath Lab RN experience – REQUIRED
Previous travel nursing experience – Preferred
Active Michigan RN license at time of submission – REQUIRED
BLS (AHA) – REQUIRED
ACLS – REQUIRED
Cath Lab/cardiac procedural experience is essential.
