Travel Cath Lab Tech - $151,028 to $207,667 per year in Salinas, CA

Jackson HealthPros has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab Manager in a permanent role with a local healthcare team where you'll be responsible for leading, controlling, planning, organizing and evaluating the timely, effective and efficient delivery of the department’s operations on a 24-hour basis. Through the incorporation of the Hospital’s goals and objectives, this position is responsible for ensuring that the department performs to the highest possible standard within the resources made available, thus ensuring the delivery of quality care and service to patients, staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• RCIS or ARRT required.
• CRT and Fluoroscopy required.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards required.
• Three (3) years' experience in a leadership role and as a licensed technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab required.
• Two (2) years' experience as a Cardiac Cath technologist able to perform specialized procedures required.
• Proven experience with EMR and PACS related to cardiac imaging and patient care required.
• Experience with department scheduling, inventory management, and staff competency programs preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Maintain proficiency, job knowledge, and required licensure/registration/certification for invasive cardiac procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions, place work orders, assist with special assignments, and maintain department cleanliness and inventory.
• Enter new inventory items and coordinate with Materials and Coding/Billing for item numbers and charge codes.
• Manage department schedule and maintain daily employee time and attendance records, including documentation for LOAs, PTO, family leave, and sick time.
• Provide feedback to Director on staff job performance, coach and counsel employees, and assist with disciplinary actions as needed.
• Monitor employee performance for compliance with TJC, HIPAA, job duties, and corporate compliance.
• Resolve employee work-related concerns and maintain competency grids and yearly competency training.
• Provide documentation and input for annual performance evaluations.
• Participate in special projects, committees, and assigned meetings.
• Monitor quality of work, productivity, labor, and capital expenses, including overtime, and operate within budgetary parameters.
• Serve as a resource for technologists, referring physicians, cardiologists, patient care departments, and other staff.
• Act as liaison for vendors in the Cath Lab.
• Maintain and update hemodynamic charting system and serve as Super-User.
• Assist physicians with report changes and addendums.
• Communicate system or operational changes to Cath Lab staff; attend department meetings and in-services to maintain knowledge of equipment and protocol changes.
• Maintain CEUs and all required licenses.
• Participate actively in performance improvement and quality measures, including QC checks and radiation safety.
• Work with cardiologists and Department Director to develop and implement Cath Lab policies and protocols.
