Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Rad Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8.5 Experience: Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience License: ARRT or RCIS required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have experience scrubbing cardiac cath cases or STEMI call. Candidates must possess either ARRT or RCIS certification with cath lab experience. Candidates must be able to scrub and monitor cath lab cases. Description: This position is for a cath lab radiologic technologist. The radiologic technologist will start on day one. The technologist is expected to scrub cath, electrophysiology, and peripheral procedures. The unit has 4 rooms and a current staff of 8 full-time employees. The optimal number of full-time staff is 12. Staffing includes day shift registered nurses and technologists. A minimum of 3 staff members is required per room. Night shift consists of an on-call only team of 4. Patient ratios are 1 patient per team of 3-4 staff members. The equipment used includes GE X-ray equipment, Impella, IABP, atherectomy, IVUS/OCT, and FFR/RFR. Case charting is completed using an EMR system. Typical procedures performed include cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology. Candidates with experience scrubbing interventional radiology and electrophysiology procedures are preferred. Candidates with Maclab monitoring experience will be prioritized. The team should be adaptable and collaborative. Call is required, with alternating weekends. On average, the candidate will take call for about 14-15 days per month.
