Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active state license required Certifications: Relevant certifications in Cardiac Cath Lab procedures Must-Have: - Previous Cath Lab experience - Ability to take call Description: The facility is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join the team. The unit consists of 2 cath lab rooms, 10 pre & post beds, and 6 holding beds. There are approximately 20 staff members in the unit. The department operates with day and night shifts, with patient ratios of 1:1 in the lab, 2:1 in holding, and 4:1 in pre/post. Equipment used includes GE imaging equipment, Volcano, Rotoblator, Angiojet, IABP, Impella, Penumbra, and Inari. The EMR systems utilized are Cerner and Merge hemodynamic systems. Typical procedures performed include heart caths and interventions, peripheral caths and interventions, TAVR, Mitra Clip, Watchman, pacemaker and ICD implants, EP studies and ablations, PFO & ASD closures, and carotid stents. Candidates should possess a flexible and easygoing personality to thrive in this dynamic environment. The cath lab is busy and performs all structural heart procedures. The team comprises knowledgeable staff, and the unit expects new residents and fellows to begin soon. Travelers will be scheduled in accordance with facility policy and are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation.
